Established in 1963 as the interior design and decoration division of the Mohammed Jalal & Sons Group, Kontra is a leading provider of innovative and creative interior design and decoration solutions, and the preferred partner of leading Contractors, Architects and Designers in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Kontra offers a turn-key solution to the design, fabrication and installation of high quality finishes, in addition to specialist sub-contractor finishing works, and boasts a vast track record of prestigious projects including hotels, commercial complexes, banks, retail outlets, VIP and private residences.
Our in-house tradesmen, who utilise the latest technology at our local Mina Salman factory, produce bespoke and high quality joinery products, classical and modern decorative plaster work, soft furnishings; including curtains, upholstery and carpets, in addition to various other floor finishes.
Kontra employs a workforce of more than 200 experienced tradesmen and personnel, and have built an international manufacturer and supplier partner network to meet the needs of its diverse clientele.
